The Name Behind the Mission
a little ELLAgance was the name given to the comfort bags Ella Grace Place originally delivered to families staying in hospitals with critically ill children — small bags filled with toiletries and care items, assembled by volunteers and delivered to pediatric floors across New Jersey.
The name was a play on words: elegance, and Ella — our Ella, whose grace and spirit inspired everything we do.
While we no longer produce the comfort bags, the name a little ELLAgance lives on as a reminder of where we started and the love that has always driven our work.
Today, Ella Grace Place focuses entirely on fundraising to support financially challenged families of special needs children — bridging the gap between what insurance covers and what families truly need.

Our Focus Today
We now direct all of our energy toward raising funds for families who cannot afford the equipment their special needs children require — communication devices, adaptive strollers, vehicle modifications, and more.

Gabriella "Ella" Grace — September 10, 2008 – May 13, 2014. One of only three children in the world diagnosed with Microcephalic Osteodysplastic Primordial Dwarfism Type I.
She couldn't talk or walk — but she hugged you with her soul. Her name, her grace, and her spirit continue to guide every family we serve.
